Will Brenden will perform works by Franck and Haydn, joined by Francisco Petracco and Dr. Eun-Hee Park.


Brenden is a third-year Cello Performance major studying with Dr. Sonja Kraus at the University of South Dakota. He sits as assistant principal cellist in the USD Symphony Orchestra and is a part of the USD Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble Zusammen. His summer festival experience includes the Fresno Summer Opera and Orchestra Academy in 2024. Will's recent notable honors include placing 2nd in the MTNA state-level competition and an honorable mention in the USD Concerto/Aria Competition. He was also selected to play in the USD Opera Orchestra for the 2024 world premiere of Michael Ching’s opera Notes on Viardot. Along with this, Will has performed in masterclasses for Hannah Collins, Thomas Loewenheim, Jonathan Ruck, and Joseph Johnson, principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony.
