Oktoberfest returns to the Platz in downtown Vermillion!
With USD's Low Brass Ensemble opening the evening, enjoy the polka variety stylings of the Mark Vyhlidal Combo. Grab a Wienerschnitzel and the trimmings from the Eagles Club and beverage from XIX Brewing. Assemble a team for the Bohemian Tractor Pull and lug a vintage tractor down main street. Dress in your best lederhosen or dirndl for the costume contest, try your hand at Hammerschlagen, and compete in the stein holding competition - you won't want to miss the Alphorn Klangen.
Between events, stop by the Vermillion High School German Club booth for cookies and soft pretzels, decorate a library card holder with the Vermillion Public Library, and compete in a pretzel toss. We can't wait to see you there!
This program is free of cost for NMM Members!
